Journaling happens to be one of my favorite things to do. I think that is because there is no right or wrong way to do it. Some days I jot down a thought and some days a quote but everyday I write affirmations and gratitude. Here are journal prompts that will inspire you to clear your mind and motivate your thoughts.
Prompts to get you started
How is your day? What kind of day are you having today? List your roses (good things that happened today) and thorns (thing that annoyed you today)?
What makes you happy and brings you joy?
Create a list of five things that you want to make come true?
What is your biggest life lesson to date?
What or who in your life do you need to let go of to generate more happiness?
Name five things that spark your curiosity and inspire your interest?
Do you enjoy music? List five songs make you the happiest?
What is your passion? How did you discover it? What can you do to do more of what makes you happy?
What do you need to focus on to create the kind of life that you desire?
Are you excited about anything right now? Write it down.
Ever made a mistake?! Admit it for yourself. How do you think this mistake turned into a blessing?
What is your why?
What would you write if nobody would ever see and judge?
Write a letter to your past self, ex you are your current age writing to your younger self, like 16 etc.
What would you do if money was no object and fear didn’t exist?
Create your very own bucket list.
Finish this sentence: “My life would be incomplete without …”
What do you most want to accomplish in life?

Tips… These journal prompts are here to inspire you but feel free to do whatever you feel is right with your soul. Find a nice quiet place to journal. As mentioned above there is no improper way to do it, you just do! Make this a regular practice and see how your spirit starts to lift and your mood start to change.
