One of my favorite things to eat for breakfast is oatmeal.
Now this is not just your run of the mill instant oatmeal made of milk or water and a pack of oatmeal. I am that girl that has to add all of the “luff and stuff” Nothing basic around here.
My favorite oatmeal is from Trader Joes. It has flaxseed it is and it is so yummy. I grab a pack of that oatmeal and a cup of almond milk and warm it up in the microwave for two minutes. While that is cooking I cut up my fruit. I usually use some strawberries and occasionally I throw in a banana. This time, this time I had some blueberries that I needed to use up so prepared those babies too.
Once the oatmeal is cooked I add some maple syrup and back in the microwave for another 20 seconds…
Assembly time… Place all of the fruit on top of the oatmeal. I drizzle a little more maple syrup on top of the fruit a tablespoon of powdered sugar (yes, I know it is unhealthy) and then I devour it. This is just a simple, quick and easy way that I prepare my oatmeal.
