7 Easy Tips to Avoid Holiday Stress

    December 2, 2021

The holidays are quickly approaching and the hustle and bustle of trying to accomplish everything on that to do list can have a person mad stressed. Not today. Here is a list of 7 easy tips to avoid holiday stress.

    BE PRESENT

Lets begin with the number one thing that you can do to avoid the stress of the holiday season. Be present. Instagram and Facebook they’re fun and it’s great, I get it but take this moment to enjoy being present with your family. Be social with the ones that are actually in your presence.

Quick tip, designate one person, the best person for the job, to do photos of the events that you have going on, create a family folder and just share them, that way everybody is present in the activities and you get photos. That sounds like a best of both worlds situation and everybody’s winning

ENJOY TRADITIONS & CREAT NEW MEMORIES

Enjoy the traditions, create new traditions and create memories for years to come. Cookie baking is a great tradition and every one from the men to the babies can be involved.  Traditions are one of the best things about the holidays it gives you that loving, family, warm, fuzzy feeling, that feeling that we all love so much. This is the time where you take and embrace all of those feelings. This is the most fun part especially when you talk about it in the upcoming years.

    EMBRACE

Don’t you just love the nostalgia of the season? Embracing what you love about the holidays and expressing gratitude will have you all in your feels and worrying less.

    SET BOUNDARIES

Set boundaries Dealing with family can have you stress stressed out that end of it still.. If you set healthy boundaries everyone knows their place and no one will overstep their boundaries because you won’t allow them to, saying “NO” is okay!

    TAKE A BREAK

Take a break. Fill in a little overwhelmed little overwhelmed step aside breathe and hail exhale and do what you have to do to regroup and then go back to the task at hand. Taking the break is OK it’s called self care.

    CALM DOWN

Calm down, don’t sweat the small stuff  Let’s just be real nothing goes perfectly and accordingly so don’t let that get you down. There will be some stress and there’s almost nothing you can do about it except shake it off.

    LAUGH

When all those fails find a way to laugh enjoy and embrace the holiday season with your loved ones. Do a game night watch a family movie actually that’s kind of boring with no real interaction (sorry if you enjoy family movies) do a game night and just laugh all evening. Laughter creates happiness, how can you be mad and upset when they are laughing?!

By following these simple tips you are definitely off to having a stressless holiday season full of memories, love and laughter.

I am trying to do all of these things this holiday season. Especially the part about setting boundaries.

Boundaries are HUGE! And super important. This is something that most of us need to work on but with practice we can all get there. Thank you for commenting!
